Website Usage Terms

  • The content on this website is provided for general information only and may change without notice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, or suitability of the information and materials for any specific purpose.

  • We are not liable for any loss resulting from your use of this website, and you acknowledge that the information provided may contain inaccuracies or errors.

Travel Insurance

Personal travel insurance, including cancellation insurance, is not included in the tour price. We strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance, especially for trips involving high-altitude trekking.

 

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • If you need to cancel your trip with Ollit Expeditions, notify us in writing. Standard cancellation charges apply, depending on the notice period.

  • If participant cancellation takes place more than 30 days before trip departure: 30% of the total trip cost will be forfeited

  • If participant cancellation takes place between 30 days & and 15 days before trip departure: 50% of the total trip cost will be forfeited

  • If participant cancellation takes place less than 15 days and 7 days before departure: 100% of the trip cost/deposit will be forfeited

  • In case the balance amount remains unpaid by the due date, the trip will be deemed cancelled and the above cancellation policy will be applicable

  • Cancellation charges may vary for certain trips, cycling tours and/or treks. Before the trip, you will be informed of the charges that apply

  • In case of trip cancellation by Ollit Expeditions due to COVID-related issues, a full refund or Travel voucher by Ollit Expeditions will be provided.

  • No refunds will be made for no-shows or unutilized services.

AUTHORISATION AND AGREEMENT

You hereby authorize any medical aid/treatment deemed necessary in the event of any emergency, injury or mishap. You agree to bear all costs of rescue and/or medical services as may be incurred on your behalf.

You understand that this is the entire agreement between you and Ollit Expeditions and that it cannot be modified or changed in any way by representations or statements by any agent or employee of Ollit Expeditions

 

INDEMNITY

 

You hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ollit Expeditions and any land-owners or building-owners, on or in which these activities take place, from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action, which are in any way connected with your participation in these activities.

Should OLLIT or anyone acting on their behalf, be required to incur lawyer's fees and costs to enforce this agreement, you agree to indemnify and hold them harmless for all such fees and costs.

 

PERSONAL SKILL & INSURANCE

 

You certify on behalf of yourself and any of the children for whom you are responsible that you/we have sufficient skill and fitness to participate in the activities offered by Ollit Expeditions. You further certify that you/we have no medical, mental or physical conditions which could interfere with your safety or ability to participate in these activities, or else you/we are willing to assume and bear the cost of all risks that may be created, directly or indirectly, by any such condition. You certify that you have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage you may cause or suffer while participating, or else agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage yourself. You are completing a medical form that details any medical or physical conditions that you have in case an emergency does arise where such information is necessary to help deal with the health issue. These will be kept on file during the event and stay fully confidential.

 

INHERENT RISKS

 

Participant’s safety is of the utmost concern to Ollit Expeditions. They operate under a covenant of good faith and fair dealing. However, it may be necessary to terminate an activity due to forces of nature, medical necessities or other reasons. Though precautions are taken to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, there are elements of risk in any adventure, sport, or activity associated with the outdoors or wilderness and there can be no guarantee of absolute safety against injury and accident. While it is impossible to list all of the inherent risks of Trekking, the following list illustrates some of the inherent risks that may be faced by the participant: weather-related risks (e.g., hot, humid weather; unexpected lightning; sudden high winds); over-exertion; being struck by debris, dislodged rocks, or other objects; falls from a rock wall, loss of footing due to slippery rocks or unstable stones; collisions with stationary objects or other participants; participant failure to adhere to posted rules or warnings; careless, erratic, or negligent acts by co- participants; careless, erratic, or negligent acts by non-participating general public; unexpected equipment failure, misjudging participant ability or fitness level, misjudging weather conditions, failure to give adequate warnings or sufficient instructions, and concentration lapses while supervising or any other cause whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the company.

You acknowledge that your voluntary participation in any and all educational and outdoor adventure-based activities entails known and unanticipated risks which could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death or damage to you, to property, or to third parties. Your participation in these activities is purely voluntary, and if there is something you do not feel comfortable with, you will choose not to participate. You will inform Ollit Expeditions staff of any physical injuries, medical concerns, allergies, or emotional fears and phobias that may impact your involvement in the program.

 

OLLIT and its associates will put every effort into making your journey a pleasant experience. However, The Company shall not be responsible for any change and/or alteration in the program due to unavoidable circumstances such as road blockage, political disturbances, government restraints, delayed arrival, delay/cancellation of issued permit from the forest department, extreme weather conditions or any other cause whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the company. Any extra cost incurred thereof will be borne by the clients.

HEALTH STATUS

 

The Ollit Expeditions Adult Participant or Ollit Expeditions Minor Participant (& Parent/Guardian) affirms that he or she:

  • Possesses no health problems or physical disabilities that would make participation unwise or risk injury

  • Understand that OLLIT advises all participants to seek medical clearance before participation.

  • Understands that it is his or her duty 1) to inform staff of disabilities or illnesses, and 2) discontinue activity

  • immediately if there is any unusual discomfort (e.g., faintness, shortness of breath, high anxiety, chest pains) during

  • participation.

  • Is physically and mentally capable (sufficient skills, strength, maturity, coordination, and fitness) to safely participate.

 

MEDICAL CARE: 

 

The Ollit Expeditions Adult Participant or Ollit Expeditions Minor Participant (& Parent/Guardian) affirms that he or she:

  • Authorizes the use of first aid/CPR by Ollit Expeditions staff if deemed it is needed.

  • Authorizes Ollit Expeditions to secure emergency medical care and transport if deemed necessary.

  • Agrees to assume all costs of emergency care and transportation.

 

RULES AND SAFETY 

 

The Ollit Expeditions Adult Participant or Ollit Expeditions Minor Participant (& Parent/Guardian) agrees:

  • To report all injuries (even minor injuries) so that Ollit Expeditions may make a record of the injury.

  • To wear all recommended safety gear during participation.

  • To inform Ollit Expeditions of any use of controlled substances such as alcohol, drugs or illegal substances.

  • To follow all rules, guidelines, and instructions established by Ollit Expeditions.

  • To inform Ollit Expeditions of any conduct or condition that creates a hazard for participants or others and will immediately

  •   discontinue further participation in said activity.

  • That Ollit Expeditions has the authority to halt your participation if it endangers you or others.

 

IMAGE RIGHTS

 

Ollit Expeditions reserves the right to use images of trip participants for promotional purposes. By booking a trip, you grant permission for the use of your images.

 

APPLICABLE LAW

 

These terms and agreements are subject to the laws of the Republic of India. Disputes will be addressed within the territory of the Republic of India.
